Come True 03:54
I told you I loved you at least 10 times a day. Spoke it loud without speaking didn't think I should say. That you're improbable like that hailstorm in June; that I'd pick up my life, set it down next to you. You stood with me in the rain so I'll grab my umbrella and sing you a song. My road leads to you there's ar rainbow a big pot of gold and the sun shining through. It's an honor to please you - you give like a river, receive like an ocean, you do. Your laughter is golden, last summer was golden. Life would be so golden with you. You're a dream, I'm a dream. Let's come true. Let's be dreams together baby, oh let's come true. Fortune favors the bold, and it's not over yet. Took a chance and I told you. Life's too short for regret. Said you want me with you, so I'll move. Fortune pours when it rains. I'm so grateful for you. And I'll tell you in kisses and twinkling eyes and I'll whisper it soft in your ear. I'll wake up to you every day with the joy of a child and my lips on your face. To thank God I found you, you found me, we found out how blessed love can be when it's true. To thank God I made it this far with some faith and a leap left to bring me to you. And a simple love for a special lady, and I feel elated when in your presence heavenly fated And I was debatin whether or not to tell you truth but it was too late to save myself from you and it's true we could grow we could go separate ways yeah I know you've been thinking different things but I've been thinking we could glow No no rush but love won't wait for us, so let's go in 50/50 and keep it one undo You're a dream, I'm a dream. Let's come true. Let's be dreams together baby, oh let's come true.

Colorblind 04:58
Born colorblind I never, understood the meaning of our skins. I never learned, that we are equal but so different, running in a race that white began, with such a lead. Running on the backs of others. Cotton dollars grown on Native soil, by toil of Slave. Race invention; walls between us. Race is used against us building fear, and breading hate. White supremacy pervasive; written in the laws and taught in schools; learned on TV. White is taught to wonder why brown, can't just pick himself right of the ground, and be like white. Just like white-washed Jesus, white like, founding fathers, sheriffs, judges, white, like stars and stripes. Once was colorblind, but now I start to see. How my skin of white has opened doors for me. Oh amazing grace please open up my eyes, and help others see if they too have been blind. Born colorblind I never saw what it takes to make change and talk race at all, and we're walkin on egg shells, rooms full of elephants, comments from the past sayin that it's irrelevant but, if we don't know where we're come from, how are we gonna get where we gotta go, how we make that grow? We are born as equals but then, some of us are fed with golden spoons, while others starve. We are born as equals with 5 hundred years of horror drawing lines, into the sand. Drafting laws and separating, housing, schooling so we may not learn, that we are one. "One but many, equal, different, woven of so many vibrant strands. THe warmest quilt. Equal and so beautiful, and, strongest for our great diversity - not prophecy.... But description" - Ralph Ellison, making Invisible visible for all to see. Open eyes and open hearts lets, learn to see the world for what it is, and build a bridge. We were colorblind but may we start to see, that you can't just close your eyes to history. Oh amazing grace please open up our eyes, and help others see if they too have been blind.

We hit the town was a solid weekend But that late night conversation has me thinking losing sleep and I wanna approach you , is it kosher? Situation vegan? I want no beef but I need a brief on last night's bombshell speech yea. I mean I thought about it surely And I really don't want to be surly If this doesn't work out and I'm out of a friend who I really truly adore we both know theres a chance so I aint even frontin I rather try and risk it all than live life always wondering. So we get back to the city and you get back to your family I get back to the mission the movement moving without me I hit you up for some coffee We sit back and start talking And there's an elephant in the room wow It's just watching us talk we Try to keep it real cool We try to keep it real cool We try to keep it together like feathers holding with glue That didn't work out for Icarus, he fell in that pool Then 4 words fall out my mouth. I say "I'm falling for you" Oops, did I say it? I look and you look elated. And I'm thinking it'll never be the same its strange how quick things change its crazy And you say its about dang time I'm like you coulda told me Then you hold out your hand understand the plan is for our hands to hold sweet so week Walk the warm streets under the darkest moon And as we're walking and talking I know its true I mean I met some other loves but not quite as cool I mean the truth is, I think I'm falling for you.

We just grow and grow, can't stop us though Tenacious like the weeds. Tried to round us up, you're not fast enough, and we've been saving seeds. Got my CSA (community supported agriculture) farmer's market today, and my garden's bloomin, it's a greatful harvest. And I thanked those plants that I grew from seed that my grandpa gave me, his grandma gave he. Wise Fukuoka said, "let the plants perfect you." And wise Grace Lee Boggs said, "Time to grow our souls." So let's just grow our souls, let's just grow our souls, let's just grow our souls, let's just grow our souls. Chorus - And we grow - and we grow and we grow, we're growin roots and wings - grow the roots and the wings, we're growin change - grow the change be the change, we grow community - grow community, we're growin hope - grow hope in our souls, we're growin hearts and minds - hearts and minds all the time, we grow our souls - in our souls let it grow, our love just grows and grows - it just grows and grows. Verse - Lovely seeing you here You there, you hear? The movement has arrived so alive for the new year Plant a seed in your heart let it grow with love that shows the love, the ebb and the flow of life No need for unnaturals right? If the future looks dark, we must all be the light History repeats. Let us sow what we reap Make our ancestors proud of all that they see Chorus Verse - Let's just grow our souls (repeat)

Lately 02:12
Lately, I been thinking I been thinkin, well thinkin bout you for as long as i can remember your love was tender like a river it flowed it was cool and if heaven permits us, let's get real love cause time ain't gonna wait for no fool but as long as we're honest, I promise we can sit back and watch love do what it do so true Lately, not so lately I been lovin you lady, and I've tried to patient, but I've got to let you know that you're lovely, darlin, dreamy I just want to make babies, with you family, tree of life, we could build one so ably passionately, see what I mean? Be my tai tai ("wife" in Mandarin Chinese) be my lady Should we try, should we try, cause there's not use fighting nature she's too wise should we try, out this love from above, from below let's just grow in between, burst the seems, we're just dreams, we're just dreams, we're just dreams, we're just dreams

Let Them In 03:29
A broken man was once a boy. Broken heart. Or broken school. Or broken home. And we start. To see him slip, down through the cracks, and then he cracks. And then he's broke, and then he breaks. A broken man has been made. What happens, when the boy becomes a man? And the chains around his hands drive him insane and change his plans? for the life he was to live no more hugging moms no kids just a wandered mind, a tragic time, he'll pay this fine til he's dead. And us outside those walls say it must be all their fault but we don't look inside ourselves to see weve been doing wrong This that song for introspection allow yourself time reflection. Is the person in the mirror more criminal than the rest in? 400 years, and the past is at our feet And the people on the streets Look for fathers, they're all sweeped into cells, 1/3 Of descents of africans Are struggling thats no probs they dont deserve to be free O the horrors, the demise Theres no men, but no surprise A quarter of the worlds prison population us alive in our nations backyard now we can do better cause what we do today Is how we're remembered forever In - This is how we should begin just let them in - We should let em all in Before they're out. Pentience, forgiveness is the word If they been out then let them in - If there out let em in, let em begin to be heard That background check, cant earn that check. let them in. The welfare line won't let them sign. Let them in. Can't get that loan to buy that home. Let them in. Old Sally Mae won't help you pay. Let them in. That ballot box, that ballot locked, let them in. No where to turn, so they return, and you or I.... Might do the same, try on those shoes, open eyed. In, just let them in. Before they're out. If they've been out then let them in. In, just let them in. Before they're out. If they've been out then let them in.

Heaven forgive me, hard times left me feeling empty old friends dont call, lovers try their best to forget me. The fame use to tempt me, Attracted to living simply Foundations solid, No heat though it was a crack in the chimney Half way to 50, +1 done living in envy, pain, strange, i opened up to the same thing, that i trapped long ago, its a trap But u know, I started believin in the love in the people in the globe, I saw the light, shine bright from the hearts of humans I looked in the mirror and asked that man what he was doing U can say a lot of Things, but even more than talking The best way to pave the way is to make the road by walking Only the great forgive, I, wonder how Dr. King did? Jesus of Nazreth, Gandhi, mercy beyond words. I'll try to emulate, and, pray that I find the grace to, forgive myself, forgive yourself, one lovely day. It's never easy, but it's, so necessary, perhaps, it's why we're here to try to learn to let it go? To find compassion in the, darkest of days, to make amends. To make some peace. To find the strength, to let it go, we let it go, we're free at last, we let it go, we let it go. I saw the pain, in their eyes. I saw their light, and I cried. I know forgiveness takes love. I know forgiveness is peace. We've always done our best, it's, not easy being human; we spread our pain, push love away, sorry to say. What if the pain we cause is, always just born of ours? and, what if the harshest words and violence are just cries for love? I want to see the needs that, inspire the hurtful deeds and, catch me before, catch you before, we burn the bridges and just multiply our wounds. Forgive us mother for we, know not what we do, it's just, just me and you, just you and I, the line is thin, let's make it right. Let's make it right. I saw the pain, in their eyes. I saw their light, and I cried. I know forgiveness takes love. I know forgiveness is peace.

Be Love 02:36
If we could be tender...that softness that sweetness. But not forget tough...be real draw lines, push through the hard times If we could see beauty...eyes open see the golden. When going gets rough...keep blessings on the mind. If we could be patient...that virtue is potent. But not wait too long...but power moves are a must. If we could be peaceful...know courage and mercy. But stand up to wrong...bring that tender that tough and rise up. Chorus: Then we would be love. Be love with me, be free. Oh we could be love. We are humanity. And if we could dream big...if you dreamt it you can breathe it. But not forget small...redwood tree was once seed. If we could stay humble...let goodness do good through you. But always walk tall....we're all giants a hundred feet tall! If we could be grateful...giving thanks for our blessings. And cultivate health...our bodies are temples. If we could live simply...so others can simply live. And give of our wealth...take what we need, be rich in our mental. Oh! Let us be hope. Cause we know the key to peace is deep growth. With open eyes and open hearts let's breathe hope. And happiness is ready to blow like C4. City love we only want y'all to dream big with the same unabated joy that we see in kids. It's all love, and you know that, so let your life speak and show that, cause once time is gone there's no goin back! Chorus

I Believe 03:08
I believe these words are true, cause I believe in you..... I believe in you, and I believe our love will open doors once locked, like rain can soften rock. I believe in you, and I believe our love can soothe a hardened a heart, like streams make mountains part I believe that soon they will see what we see - that they'll see what we've dreamed believe. I believe. I believe in you and I believe our love can wash this all away, like tide on sandy bay I know it's hard earthbound dreamin of stars thinking thatit's too far it'll never be ours i'm here to tell you that together love will open way the deepest regions of oceans vastly reaching to outer space nothing's an obstacle, no vision un obtainable, don't believe in impossible nothin will be the same with you, and nothin will be the same with us and all it took was a little trust I believe that soon, they will see - to see what we been missing what we see - make realities from wishes that they'll see - we get caught up in the logical what we see - and don't realize what has been possible i believe - i believe in love truth and emptahy I believe - and you are guaranteed those things when you get with me Yeah I believe in you, and I believe our love will bless us all one day will bless us come what may will bless us come what may
